A Foothold at Foothills

Foothills Academy is part one of the most celebrated programs on the continent, but not because it accepts only the best and brightest students. Instead, The Foothills Academy takes frustrated and sometimes depressed children, and teaches them how to succeed.

“Where there is help, there is hope”

These may very well be the guiding words of the Foothills Academy Community Services Division. Created to serve beyond the confines of the classroom, assistance takes form as programs and resources for professionals, parents, and students.

Every year, Foothills Academy is forced to turn prosepctive students away, with classrooms filled to capacity. So, we share our practical knowledge of learning disabilities with individuals and groups in as many ways as we can. We offer workshops for eduaction professionals, and direct assistance to medical and social professionals. As well, we work with government agencies and policy committees on behalf of the learning disabled. We have raised public awareness through symposiums, media presentations, and summits throughout Canada.
